Qatar Airways has arranged a handful of repatriation flights to Europe from Oman, while Doha operations remain suspended due to the Qatari airspace closure. Qatar Airways confirmed that relief flights had been scheduled from March 5, 2026, from Muscat International Airport (MCT) to London Heathrow (LHR), Berlin, Copenhagen, Madrid, Rome, and Amsterdam. The Qatar flag carrier added that a seventh repatriation flight would depart King Khalid International Airport (RUH) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, for Frankfurt. Finland’s integration into NATO’s air command structure continues to deepen, with the Finnish Air Force confirming that a NATO E-3A Sentry airborne warning and control system (AWACS) aircraft conducted a mission in Finnish airspace for the first time.  The Finnish Air Force said the sortie involved joint flight operations between Finnish F/A-18 Hornet fighters and the NATO E-3A Sentry airborne early-warning platform. Iranian drones struck Azerbaijan’s Nakhchivan exclave on March 5, 2026, injuring two civilians and damaging infrastructure at a local airport, prompting Baku to summon Iran’s ambassador and condemn what it described as a violation of its sovereignty.  According to Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, two drones launched from Iranian territory crossed the border into the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic around 12:00 local time.
