Shortly After Takeoff, The Engine Lost All Power On February 16, 2026, at 1020 eastern standard time a Cessna 182G, N515CL, was substantially damaged when it was involved in an accident near Quail Heights, Florida. Hermeus, a venture-backed aviation defense company, said it has completed the first flight of its newest Quarterhorse aircraft, a milestone the company described as its second successful first flight in less than a year and the start of a test campaign aimed at exceeding supersonic speeds. The Atlanta-based defense company said it conducted the flight at Spaceport America in New Mexico, operating over White Sands Missile Range airspace. Hermeus flew the unmanned aircraft remotely from a ground-based command center and said the sortie validated aircraft systems, handling qualities, and operational procedures. The US Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA) has been helping lead search efforts after a World War Two B-17 bomber wreckage was discovered in the North Sea. The revelation was made in the summer of 2025 when German electricity firm Amprion was conducting a routine unexploded ordinance survey (UXO) in the vicinity of a planned converter platform, part of an important energy transition project in Germany. A Lufthansa Boeing 747-8 is the latest iconic aircraft to feature the airline’s blue 100-year anniversary livery and XXL Crane design following an Airbus A380 makeover in February 2026. On March 4, 2026, Lufthansa announced that following the new livery upgrade in San Bernardino, California, the Boeing 747-8 would be making its way to its home to Frankfurt.
