None of these operators are US airlines, but the A380 is no stranger to American airports, with Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) having the most daily flights. The A380 was revolutionary when it first hit the market in terms of how much cabin space it offered. Airlines had free rein to design layouts that optimized revenue and delivered world-class…

While I’m sure some people are very happy about this, others are really angry and feel unappreciated, and I don’t blame them… Trump gives bonuses to 776 air traffic controllers We just recently saw an end to the 43-day government shutdown, which was the longest in United States history. During this time, we saw most government employees (including air traffic controllers) work without getting paychecks for weeks on end. On November 10, 2025, President Trump took to social media in a pretty out-there post, where he praised the air traffic controllers who had perfect attendance during the shutdown, and blasted…
A WestJet Boeing 737 was on approach to Toronto-Pearson when the crew had to perform a go-around on Thursday, November 20. Data from Flightradar24 shows that there was another aircraft on the runway, a NetJets Cessna Citation, which had just landed ahead of the 737. The Citation was attempting to exit the runway when the 737 performed a go-around. A go-around, while discomforting for most passengers, is a routine procedure that is practised rigorously by pilots for exactly such scenarios. This is performed when a landing is deemed to be potentially unsafe by air traffic control or the pilots, including…
In recent years, airlines have reported an increase in unruly and disruptive passenger behavior on board. This includes incidents such as violence against crew and fellow passengers, harassment, verbal abuse, smoking, and refusal to follow safety or public-health instructions. According to the International Air Transport Association (IATA), around 60 operators filed 53,538 incident reports in 2024, equal to one event for every 395 flights. Non-compliance with crew instructions remained the most common issue, and reports of verbal and physical aggression also increased. Such incidents sometimes lead to delays and diversions, which create operational disruption that can cost airlines thousands of…
