The Boeing 787 Dreamliner remains one of the most important widebody aircraft in global aviation, prized for its fuel efficiency, long-range capability, and passenger-pleasing cabin with very positive reviews. With dozens of airlines now operating at least one 787 variant, the question naturally arises in 2025: Which airline has the most Dreamliners in the world? In our article, we will discuss a familiar name in long-haul aviation: All Nippon Airways (ANA) from Japan, which holds the current record. Understanding the world’s leading Boeing 787 operator offers insight into how modern airlines deploy efficient widebodies to maximize fleet performance, open new…
American Airlines has begun the process of reconfiguring its Boeing 777 fleet with new interiors. Flightradar24 shows that American has sent N718AN, a Boeing 777-300ER, on a ferry flight to Hong Kong on December 7, 2025. The aircraft will receive new seats identical to its new Boeing 787-9 “789P” subfleet, as well as a new interior layout with a higher capacity. This aircraft will likely enter service by spring 2026, as reconfigurations for the first aircraft in a specific fleet typically take longer. American Airlines originally announced “Project Olympus” in 2022 and intended to commence retrofits in late 2024. However,…
In 2022, we saw Qatar Airways initially team up with Diptyque for its amenity kits, which was pretty cool. This collaboration has been live for a few years now, and there’s an exciting update, as these amenity kits are getting an overhaul. Qatar Airways Diptyque amenity kits get new design It’s common for airlines to collaborate with luxury brands for amenity kits, since it’s often a win-win — airlines can offer something nice to their premium passengers, while luxury brands can get samples of their products out in front of people who spend a lot of money on airline tickets…

Today, fast and comfortable air travel is something passengers often take for granted, yet the de Havilland Comet marked a dramatic leap forward when it entered service. As the world’s first jet airliner, it offered smoother flights, higher speeds, and a quieter cabin than any propeller-driven aircraft of its time. The Comet showed travelers what modern air transport could feel like and set new expectations for comfort and efficiency. The jet age, as we know it, began with this aircraft. The Comet proved that jet-powered commercial flight was not only possible but practical on major international routes. Its introduction pushed…
It’s quite a transformative time for Alaska Air Group, as the company acquired Hawaiian Airlines, and is turning Seattle-Tacoma into a global hub, with plans to launch a dozen long haul routes by 2030. We’ve recently seen the airline add flights to Tokyo Narita (NRT) and to Seoul Incheon (ICN). Next we’re seeing the airline expand to Europe, with flights to Rome (FCO) as of April 2026, and flights to Keflavik (KEF) as of May 2026, with both routes already being on sale. Now another Europe route has just been put on sale… Alaska adding Seattle to London flights as of May 2026 As of…
A US House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee hearing on advanced air mobility has reopened a long-running debate over how ADS-B data is used, with lawmakers and industry leaders urging Congress to place new guardrails around aircraft tracking. At the center of the discussion is the Pilot and Aircraft Privacy Act (PAPA), a bill strongly backed by the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) that would restrict ADS-B use to safety functions and prohibit airports or other entities from relying on the data for fee collection or law-enforcement actions unrelated to aviation safety. The issue surfaced during testimony from Robert Rose, CEO of Reliable Robotics,…
Sustainable aviation fuel production is expected to double this year, but IATA says growth is already losing momentum and falling short of what airlines need to meet decarbonization targets. IATA estimates global sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) output will reach 1.9 million tonnes in 2025, up from 1 million tonnes in 2024, but rise only to […] source
Etihad Airways is on quite the expansion spree at the moment, as the airline is commencing all kinds of new routes. Over the summer, the Abu Dhabi-based carrier launched a very cool promotion, giving travelers an incentive to fly as many new routes as possible. The winners have now been crowned, and they sure put in some effort! Etihad Guest awards nine million miles to three members Earlier this year, Etihad launched the “Extraordinary Challenge” promotion. The idea was that Etihad was launching 15 new routes, and the first three people to fly the new routes the fastest would get…
In modern aerial warfare, inflight refueling has become a critical capability for many fighter jets, allowing aircraft to extend their range, stay on station longer, and respond to dynamic mission requirements without returning to base. Fighters with refueling capability can conduct long-range strikes, maintain air superiority over larger distances, and support expeditionary operations, giving military planners far greater flexibility in deploying air power. As technology and tactics evolve, the ability to refuel in the air is no longer just an advantage. Rather, it’s often a necessity for operational effectiveness and flexibility. Not all fighter jets are equally suited for aerial…
