The Federal Aviation Administration has issued seven new Notices to Airmen (NOTAM) warning pilots and airlines of potential military activity and navigation risks across parts of Latin America and the eastern Pacific, urging operators to exercise added caution when flying through the affected airspace. The NOTAMs, published on January 16, 2026, and set to expire in mid-March, cover multiple flight information regions off the coasts of Mexico, Panama, Colombia, and Ecuador, as well as large sections of the eastern Pacific Ocean. Following Touchdown, The Airplane Hit A Bump On The Runway And The Airplane To Become Airborne Again Analysis: The student pilot was performing a landing after a solo flight. He attempted to land on runway 27 twice but there were trucks on the runway. He performed a go-around and switched to runway 18 which is a turf/grass runway. Immediately following touchdown, the airplane hit a bump on the runway and the airplane to become airborne again. The airplane porposied twice and the nose landing gear contacted the ground and collapsed which resulted in substantial damage to the fuselage.

Tetrahedron A device normally located on uncontrolled airports and used as a landing direction indicator. The small end of a tetrahedron points in the direction of landing. At controlled airports, the tetrahedron, if installed, should be disregarded because tower instructions supersede the indicator.

Safran and Embraer have agreed to end their aircraft interior partnership in Chihuahua, Mexico, after the French aerospace firm decided to sell its stake. On January 19, 2026, Safran announced that it had entered into a definitive agreement with Embraer for the sale of Safran Cabin’s shares in EZAir subject to regulatory approvals. EZAir, which employs 1,100 people at the facility in Chihuahua, operates as a 50/50 joint venture, manufacturing Embraer’s aircraft interiors. Norwegian electric seaplane developer Elfly announced on January 19, 2026, that it has closed a deal with Florida-based zero emissions mobility operator UrbanLink for 10 NOEMI amphibious aircraft plus another 10 options.
