NATO fighter jets from Germany and Romania were scrambled on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, in response to a drone incursion that penetrated deeper than ever before into Romanian airspace, authorities said.   The breach occurred along Romania’s southeastern border with Ukraine. The Romanian Ministry of National Defense initially dispatched two German Eurofighter jets on air-policing duty, followed by two Romanian F-16s after radar tracked a second drone moving deeper into the country.   Romanian Defense Minister Ionuț Moșteanu said the drones entered Romanian territory during daylight, marking a first for such an incursion, and reached more than 100 kilometres (62 miles) inside Romanian airspace. American Airlines is the world’s largest carrier in multiple respects. It is also the US’s leading international operator, but only by flights. Lower-capacity aircraft and a big emphasis on short-haul international markets mean it is not number one by passengers, seats for sale, or available seat miles. A nationwide three-day strike in Belgium has begun, with disruptions expected to escalate across Brussels’ two major airports, affecting air travel throughout the country.  The strike is not limited to aviation, with Belgium’s transport network and public services also facing major disruptions from a protest against austerity measures introduced by the Belgium government.   The government plans to reduce spending by €10 billion by 2030 to comply with EU debt regulations. The Government of the United Kingdom has made its decision regarding which of the two proposals for the new third runway at London Heathrow Airport (LHR) that it would like to take forward. Air India Express, a low-cost subsidiary of Air India, is set to be among the first airlines to operate from the new Navi Mumbai International Airport.  In a post on X, shared on November 21, 2025, the airline announced it will begin daily flights to Bengaluru and Delhi from the new airport starting from December 25, 2025, its opening day.  Flights to Delhi will run on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Korean Air announced it will begin phasing out its traditional meal containers from December 2025, replacing them with plant-based alternatives made from agricultural waste materials including straw, sugarcane, and bamboo. The South Korean flag carrier said it plans to gradually introduce the new containers on select routes, with full network implementation expected by the end of 2026. The containers will primarily be used for main entrées in economy class, including Korean and Western meal options.
