The United States Air Force (USAF) traces its origins to a network of airfields and forts that existed before the service was established in 1947. These sites evolved from early Army aviation posts and training fields into modern bases that continue to support flying, training, logistics, and strategic operations. This ranked list shows the ten oldest USAF bases still in active military use, arranged from #10 (youngest) to #1 (oldest). If you ever visited any of them, feel free to share your experience in the comment section below. This list ranks bases by the year each site first became a…

When comparing modern widebody aircraft, debates often focus on fuel efficiency, passenger comfort, or airline preference. However, a surprisingly simpler question is often not looked into in much depth. That question being, between the Airbus A350-1000 and Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner, which aircraft actually has the longer fuselage? While this may sound trivial, fuselage length directly influences capacity, cabin layout flexibility, and the type of routes each aircraft is designed to operate. Just a simple change to the overall length can have a huge impact on so many aspects of the aircraft. Both the A350-1000 and 787-10 represent the largest variants…

European aircraft manufacturer Airbus has announced that it will transfer its current pylon production from Wichita to a site in Toulouse, France. While this will see production moved across the Atlantic, Airbus has promised that this does not mean the manufacturer is leaving Wichita, and jobs are secure. As reported by US news outlet KWCH, Airbus will move the pylon production to a site in Saint-Eloi, on the outskirts of Toulouse, France. This was due to the recent acquisition of Spirit AeroSystems, where Boeing and Airbus acquired different parts of the business relative to their models of aircraft. Not A…
Premium economy class has grown immensely in popularity over the last couple of decades, becoming a key cabin for the majority of global full-service airlines. The cabin class fulfills demand for an elevated travel experience without the high costs of flying in business or first class, with Premium Economy fares usually priced at around double that of an economy ticket. While you may not get the level of luxury and bespoke service available in business or first, premium economy offers a wide range of perks – including more comfortable seats, better meals and priority status – that can make it…
Air Canada is doubling down on its Air Canada Rouge operations, with the Canadian flag carrier announcing that the Boeing 737 MAX 8 airplanes for the leisure-focused arm of the airline will commence operations in the first quarter of 2026. This will see the Rouge eventually move to an all-Boeing 737 operator. This is a momentous shift for the subsidiary, which in its history has operated airplanes such as the Airbus A319 to the Boeing 767. At the same time, the mainline Air Canada will move its narrowbody fleet to an all Airbus fleet. This is expected to be completed…
