Safran Helicopter Engines and Helicopteres Guimbal have announced an exclusive partnership to power the new GrandCabri G5, a five-seat helicopter now under development as Guimbal expands beyond its two-seat Cabri G2. The GrandCabri G5 will use the 450-shaft-horsepower Arrius 2D, a new variant of Safran’s Arrius engine family, according to Safran. Atlas Air Worldwide has ordered 20 Airbus A350F freighters, a deal that makes the US cargo operator the largest customer for Airbus’ next-generation freighter and gives it early delivery slots for the type.
