BETA Technologies announced, on March 12, 2026, that it has signed a strategic partnership with Surf Air Mobility, a regional air transportation operator based in the United States. Surf Air Mobility has placed a firm order for 25 of BETA Technologies’ all-electric CTOL (conventional take-off and landing) aircraft plus 75 options. With this agreement, Surf Air Mobility will not only become BETA Technologies launch customer for passenger flights, but also the exclusive service center for BETA Technologies aircraft in some designated geographical regions. Riyadh Air is planning to operate an initial network of 15 destinations spanning the Middle East, Europe and Asia, according to aviation news site Aeroroutes. Although it has not officially been published by the airline yet, this preliminary route network has appeared on the “S26 start of season report” published by Airport Coordination Limited (ACL), a British firm that acts as a slot coordinator at several major airports worldwide. Sikorsky and Robinson Helicopter Company have unveiled the R66 Turbinetruck, an autonomous cargo helicopter designed for commercial and military utility missions, marking a new collaboration between Lockheed Martin’s rotary-wing unit and Robinson’s expanding unmanned aircraft business. Announced on March 10, 2026, the R66 Turbinetruck combines Sikorsky’s Matrix autonomy system with Robinson Unmanned’s cargo UAS helicopter platform. The companies said the aircraft is intended for missions including “cargo delivery, resupply, contested logistics, and disaster relief.” The aircraft is built around Robinson’s R66 turbine-powered helicopter but removes the cockpit and crew stations in favor of a cargo-focused configuration. Brazilian airline Gol Linhas Aéreas Inteligentes (GOL) has confirmed that Lisbon Humberto Delgado International Airport (LIS) and Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG) as its first European destinations. This announcement follows the move, by the Brazilian low-cost carrier, to secure five Airbus A330-900neo wide-body aircraft on lease through its parent company, Abra Group. These five A330-900neo aircraft are part of an order of seven aircraft which Abra Group expects to receive in 2026 and 2027.
