Wizz Air plans to expand its operations from Wrocław Airport (WRO) in Poland, adding three entirely new destinations and increasing frequencies on three existing routes.

The new destinations from Wrocław will be the cities of Reykjavik, Dortmund, and Varna. Additionally, the low-cost carrier will enhance the frequency of its routes to Barcelona, Bari, Tirana, and Malaga, Wizz Air said in a statement on October 8, 2025.

Flights to Varna will commence on June 15, 2026, operating twice a week, while flights to Reykjavik will start the following day with three weekly flights. The service to Dortmund is set to begin later in the year on October 25, 2026, with flights scheduled four times a week.

These new routes, along with previously announced services to Gran Canaria, Catania, and Ohrid, will be supported by a third Airbus A321neo, which Wizz Air plans to base in the city beginning June 2026.

Wizz Air will also increase the frequency of several existing routes from Wrocław. Flights to Barcelona will increase from four to seven times a week, while flights to Bari will double from two to four weekly starting June 2026.

The service to Tirana will rise from two to three weekly flights, and flights to Malaga will increase from three to four weekly departures, also beginning June 2026.

“This expansion is a testament to our commitment: to deliver simple, affordable, and enjoyable travel while fueling regional growth and creating more jobs both directly with the airline and in the associated industries,” Wizz Air CEO József Váradi said at a press conference in Wrocław. “We look forward to welcoming even more travelers on board.”

Now, with a third Airbus A321neo set to arrive in June 2026 and additional routes being introduced, the airline’s network will expand to 22 routes across 17 countries. Since first taking off from Wrocław in 2006, Wizz Air has carried close to 7 million passengers to and from the city.
