Turkish Airlines subsidiary carrier AJet has signed a long-term lease agreement with Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE) to acquire 10 new Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft.

On December 3, 2025, DAE confirmed that AJet, which launched in 2024 after AnadoluJet was rebranded, would receive the new Boeing 737-8 jets between 2026 and 2027.

Over the next 10 years AJet plans to expand its fleet to 200 aircraft and operate flights to 44 countries, covering 42 domestic and 80 international routes.

“We are delighted to be chosen by long-time customer Turkish Airlines to provide them a solution to AJet’s growing fleet requirements with these new technology, fuel efficient aircraft. Türkiye is a fast-growing market, with flight movements increasing 5.7% in the first half of 2025, according to Türkiye’s Ministry of Transport,” said Firoz Tarapore, CEO of DAE.

He added: “We thank Turkish Airlines and AJet for their ongoing trust in DAE and wish them much success with their new fleet additions.”

According to Ajet, its current fleet is comprised of 83 aircraft including 42 Boeing 737-800s, 12 737-8s, 12 Airbus A321neos, three A320neos, 10 A321s and six A320s. Data from ch-aviation reports that 56 aircraft have been wet leased to AJet.

In July 2025, Ajet signed a lease agreement with SMBC Aviation Capital for five Airbus A320neo aircraft.

The airline also has a contract in place with CDB Aviation, which is owned by China Development Bank Financial Leasing, for 12 737-8s. Six of these are currently operated by AJet.
