Turkish Airlines has extended its world record as the airline that flies to more countries than any other, having added a new service to the capital of Cambodia.

On December 12, 2025, Turkish Airlines announced a new thrice-weekly service to Phnom Penh, becoming the only European country to fly to the Cambodian city.

In December 2024, Turkish Airlines became an official Guinness World Records title champion after being recognized as the carrier that flies to the most countries around the globe.

With the commencement of its new service to Phnom Penh, Turkish Airlines confirmed that Cambodia would be the 132nd country to which it flies.

“As Turkish Airlines, we continuously expand our network connecting continents and strengthen our connections with strategic destinations,” said Turkish Airlines CEO Bilal Ekşi. “Adding Cambodia as our 132nd country to our unparalleled network, and the launch of Phnom Penh flights, marks a significant step forward in this goal. Our flights to Cambodia will present new opportunities for both tourism and business.”

He added: “Additionally, as the only European carrier flying to this destination, we will further solidify our leadership in the region.”

Flights from Istanbul to Phnom Penh depart on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, returning on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

According to Turkish Airlines, with this new destination, Cambodia became the seventh country served by the Turkish flag carrier in Southeast Asia, with Phnom Penh joining the network as the 11th city in the region.

“This new route offers Turkish Airlines’ guests easier access to one of the key destinations in the region and showcases once more the unparalleled connectivity the Turkish flag carrier offers as the only European carrier flying to this destination,” said a Turkish Airlines statement.
