Electric aircraft developer REGENT Craft has received an order from US private members club XXV for 30 Viceroy Seagliders.

On January 15, 2026, the Rhode Island-based amphibious aircraft firm announced that REGENT will deliver the first Seaglider vessels to XXV as early as 2027.

XXV provides innovative experiences centered on premier coastal destinations and will deploy the aircraft on the US East Coast.

Initially, it will focus on the Northeast and Florida, serving routes including New York to the Hamptons, Boston to Nantucket, Palm Beach to Miami, and Miami to the Bahamas.

“We designed Seaglider vessels to remove friction from coastal travel, and XXV is applying that capability to create a member experience centered on our shared goals of convenience, comfort, and connection,” said Billy Thalheimer, co-founder and CEO of REGENT. “This partnership allows us to bring the benefits of Seaglider vessels directly to XXV members, offering a more seamless and enjoyable way to experience coastal destinations.”

According to XXV, it will announce a high-profile US operator for its aircraft in the coming months.

Neill Etheridge, co-founder, XXV, said: “REGENT’s Seaglider vessels transform travel from a constraint into an opportunity.” Jamie Petty, co-founder, XXV, added: “Our partnership will enable us to deliver a unique passenger experience that reclaims time and creates space for more meaningful moments between destinations.”

The Viceroy Seaglider is designed to fly 12 passengers and two crew members at speeds up to 180 miles per hour for routes up to 180 miles.

In 2025, REGENT launched the first-ever human operations on a full-scale electric Seaglider prototype. According to the developer since March 2025, the prototype aircraft has been on the water several times per week.

REGENT has secured global commercial orders valued at more than $10 billion from airlines and ferry operators around the world, as well as $15 million in contracts with the US Marine Corps.

It has now raised more than $100 million from investors including 8090 Industries, Founders Fund, Japan Airlines, and Lockheed Martin.
