Qatar Airways is set to expand its services in Saudi Arabia with the introduction of new flights to Hail, Jeddah, and Riyadh cities in the country.

The airline announced the news on November 11, 2025, during a panel discussion titled “Tourism Rising: A New Era of Influence and Impact” at the TOURISE Global Tourism Summit 2025 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Starting from January 5, 2026, Qatar will introduce three weekly flights to Hail International Airport (HAS) in Hail.

Additionally, flights to King Abdulaziz International Airport (JED) and King Khalid International Airport (RUH) will increase from six to seven daily flights.

Qatar Airways will operate flights to Hail International Airport every Monday, Thursday, and Saturday. Flight QR1228 will leave Doha at 14:20 and reach Hail at 16:30, while the return flight QR1229 will depart Hail at 17:30 and arrive in Doha at 19:25.

“Our network now spans every major region of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and over the past 12 months, we have connected nearly 2.5 million passengers to our global network,” said Qatar Airways Group CEO, Engr. Badr Mohammed Al-Meer.

With the new route to Hail, Qatar Airways will serve 13 destinations with over 150 weekly flights, offering travelers in Saudi Arabia easy access to more than 170 global destinations via Hamad International Airport (DOH).

This announcement is part of a successful year for Qatar Airways in Saudi Arabia, which included the resumption of flights to Abha International Airport (AHB) in January 2025 and the launch of three weekly non-stop flights to The Red Sea in October 2025, making the airline the first international carrier to link The Red Sea to over 170 global destinations.
