Philippine Airlines and Qatar Airways are expanding their partnership with enhanced codeshare flights and a new loyalty program tie-up, giving travelers on both networks access to more destinations and rewards.

The expanded codeshare arrangement takes effect on June 1, 2026, building on the partnership the two carriers launched in June 2025.

Qatar Airways and Philippine Airlines are expanding their strategic partnership by enhancing the connectivity between both airlines’ networks, unlocking more than 40 new destinations for global travellers.

More connections through Doha and Manila

Under the expanded agreement, Philippine Airlines will place its PR code on Qatar Airways flights departing from Ninoy Aquino International Airport (MNL), Mactan-Cebu International Airport (CEB), Clark International Airport (CRK), and Francisco Bangoy International Airport (DVO) to Hamad International Airport (DOH) in Doha and onward to more than 20 major European cities, including Paris, Rome, and Frankfurt.

In return, Qatar Airways will place its QR code on Philippine Airlines’ domestic flights, allowing travelers arriving in Manila and Cebu to connect to popular leisure destinations such as Godofredo P. Ramos Airport (MPH) in Caticlan, the gateway to Boracay, and Puerto Princesa International Airport (PPS) in Palawan.

Loyalty programs now linked

Alongside the codeshare expansion, the two airlines have connected their frequent flyer programs. Qatar Airways’ Privilege Club and Philippine Airlines’ Mabuhay Miles members can now earn and redeem points across both carriers’ networks.

This marks the 26th airline partnership for Privilege Club and expands its footprint in Southeast Asia. Members can now collect and spend Avios on Philippine Airlines routes across Australasia, Southeast Asia, and the United States, as well as domestic Philippine destinations including Cebu, Clark, and Davao City.

Mabuhay Miles members, meanwhile, can earn and redeem miles when flying Qatar Airways to destinations across Africa, Europe, and the Middle East. For Philippine Airlines, the partnership strengthens its presence in the Middle East through broader network access.

Avios can be used for award flights on Qatar Airways, oneworld partner airlines, and Qatar Airways upgrades, as well as lifestyle benefits such as Qatar Airways Holidays packages and shopping at Qatar Duty Free. Mabuhay Miles members can also access rewards spanning travel, retail, and dining experiences.

Recognition for both carriers

Philippine Airlines was recognized by Cirium as Asia-Pacific’s Most Punctual Airline for 2025, reflecting its focus on operational reliability and network efficiency.

Qatar Airways, named the World’s Best Airline by Skytrax in 2025, received Platinum performance recognition from Cirium for its reliability and operational performance.
