PAL deploys A350-1000 on Manila-Toronto, its second North American route

Philippine Airlines (PAL) has announced that it will begin operating its Airbus A350-1000 on the Manila-Toronto route starting June 5, 2026, making Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) the second North American destination to be served by the airline’s newest flagship aircraft.

The aircraft in question is PAL’s second A350-1000, which arrived in Manila on May 29,2026. The first A350-1000 currently operates the airline’s service between Ninoy Aquino International Airport (MNL) and New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK).

Manila-Toronto schedule

The Manila-Toronto service will operate three times a week. Westbound flights are set to depart Manila on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays at 19:30 local time, arriving in Toronto at 22:45 local time. Eastbound flights will depart Toronto on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 01:50 local time, arriving in Manila at 06:05 local time the following day.

The deployment is another step in PAL’s fleet modernization program. The A350-1000 is the newest and largest aircraft in the airline’s fleet, part of a total order of nine. PAL remains the first and only airline in Southeast Asia to operate the variant.

The aircraft seats 382 passengers across three cabins: 42 in business class, 24 in premium economy, and 316 in economy. Built for long-haul flying, the A350-1000 offers improved fuel efficiency, better operational performance, and a more comfortable passenger experience compared to older widebody types.

The move also strengthens PAL’s cargo capabilities on the route, allowing shipments to and from North America to connect more efficiently through the airline’s broader cargo network.
