German private jet operator LUMINAIR has placed an order at this year’s AERO Friedrichshafen for nine Cessna Citation Latitude aircraft.

On April 22, 2026, LUMINAIR said the purchase represented a “landmark order” for the company after launching from its Hamburg home in 2024.

The nine new Cessna Citation Latitude aircraft will help LUMINAIR continue its growth trajectory as it welcomes the fourth aircraft type to the company’s fleet.

The first aircraft is scheduled to join in late 2026, with the remaining eight expected to deliver through 2027.

LUMINAIR’s current fleet includes Dassault Falcon 7X, Falcon 900LX and Citation XLS/XLS+ private jets.

“The introduction of the Citation Latitude marks an important milestone in our fleet strategy,” said Alexander Stevens, CCO and Founder of LUMINAIR. “We are scaling with purpose – expanding our capabilities while maintaining the steadfast commitment to safety and excellence our clients expect.”

The Citation Latitude can be used for a wide range of operations, including corporate travel, personal travel, air ambulance, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR), utility transport, aerial survey, flight inspection, training and numerous other specialized missions.

“The Citation Latitude is exceptionally well suited to LUMINAIR customers travelling across Europe, offering a spacious and comfortable cabin experience along with the reliability they need to make regional missions feel effortless, day after day,” said Lannie O’Bannion, Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing at Textron Aviation. “The Latitude delivers seamless connections between Europe’s major cities, offering efficient travel options for passengers.”

LUMINAIR was founded in 2024 by four former Air Hamburg colleagues. Since launching operations in November 2024 with one aircraft, LUMINAIR has expanded to ten aircraft, with five more being added in 2026.

In a social media post, the private jet operator wrote: “LUMINAIR is going Super-Mid! We are absolutely over the moon to announce a landmark deal with Textron Aviation to purchase nine brand new citation latitudes. This major step forward in our fleet growth closes the link between our Citation XLS and Falcon fleets and takes us to 22 aircraft by summer 2027.The WiFi equipped aircraft will be arriving from late 2026 and will allow us to further serve the global charter market, the way you want.”
