Saudi Arabia’s fast-growing low-cost carrier flyadeal is preparing for a major international expansion with plans to launch services to India in the first quarter of 2026.
The Jeddah-based airline will enter the Indian market by connecting key metropolitan cities as well as rapidly developing secondary destinations, with Mumbai expected to be the inaugural route. Operating from its hubs in Jeddah (JED), Riyadh (RUH), and Dammam (DMM), flyadeal aims to serve up to six Indian cities by the end of 2026.
In addition to regular commercial traffic, the airline plans to cater to religious travel demand. It will offer services for Hajj and Umrah pilgrims, a segment growing in strategic importance as Saudi Arabia expands tourism and pilgrimage capacity under Vision 2030.
flyadeal is also looking to partner with an Indian airline. This would allow passengers to book one ticket for multiple destinations within India, making travel easier for both leisure and religious travelers who need fast connections.
The airline currently operates one of the region’s youngest all-A320 family fleets, comprising 11 A320-200s and 32 A320neos. By the end of 2025, the fleet is expected to expand to 46 aircraft. The subsidiary of Saudi Arabia’s flag carrier Saudia is also preparing for its first wide-body deployment, with 10 Airbus A330-900neos scheduled to join the fleet from mid-2027.
