In an expansion of its freighter network, Emirates SkyCargo has launched a new weekly Canadian cargo service via Amsterdam Schiphol Airport (AMS).
On April 30, 2026, the airline announced the launch of a new weekly freighter service to Toronto Pearson Airport (YYZ) from Dubai World Central (DWC) to help strengthen air cargo links between Canada and the UAE.
According to Badr Abbas, Emirates SkyCargo’s Divisional Senior Vice President, exports between the two nations have been “growing steadily in recent years, increasing 24% year on year between 2023 and 2024 facilitated by direct air connectivity and strong bilateral trade relations”.
Abbas said: “Our weekly freighter to Toronto further amplifies this positive momentum, providing Canadian businesses with an additional 100 tons of export capacity every week over and above belly hold cargo capacity on Emirates passenger flights.”
The cargo flight leaves Dubai World Central at 07:10 local time on a Friday, arriving at Amsterdam at 12:15 local time. It then departs Amsterdam and continues to Toronto, arriving at 16:55 local time.
The return flight departs from Toronto Pearson at 19:15 local time on the same day, arriving at Dubai World Central at 16:15 on Saturday local time.
“The flight will also provide important connectivity between Canada and one of its largest trading partners, the EU, on the inbound segment with a stop at Amsterdam,” Abbas added.
Between Amsterdam and Toronto, the freighter flight will support main deck cargo capacity for movement of pharmaceuticals, perishables and other manufactured goods from the EU to Canada.

Emirates’ freighter service to Toronto supplements the bellyhold cargo capacity offered on passenger flights between Dubai and Toronto. In July 2023, Emirates SkyCargo also started offering cargo capacity on passenger flights to and from Montreal.
Emirates SkyCargo has recently taken delivery of four new Boeing 777 freighters and is set to expand its fleet with a further six Boeing 777 freighter aircraft during 2026.
