While not the highest value promotion in the world, here’s an easy opportunity to earn some extra rewards on your next Hilton stay…
Stay at a Hilton, earn bonus Qatar Airways Avios
Sometimes we see hotels and airlines partner to offer extra rewards, so here’s such an example. At the moment, you can earn 1,000 Qatar Airways Privilege Club Avios for completing one Hilton hotel stay. These rewards are in addition to the Hilton Honors points you usually earn, so there’s no opportunity cost to participating in this promotion.
As you’d expect, there are some terms to be aware of:
- You must stay between June 1 and August 31, 2026
- A stay at any hotel or resort in the Hilton Honors portfolio qualifies
- Only stays booked directly with Hilton qualify, though it’s fine if you redeem points
- You can only qualify for this bonus once
- You must register prior to completing your eligible stay, though it’s fine if you booked before registering
- You must add your Qatar Airways Privilege Club membership number as your preferred travel partner in the “preferences” tab of your account on Hilton’s website, prior to check-out of your qualifying stay
- Bonus points will post within eight weeks of completing an eligible stay
Taking advantage of this offer is a no-brainer
If you have a stay planned at a Hilton property over the next few months, then taking advantage of this promotion is a no-brainer. Again, you don’t need to credit your stay to Qatar Airways, and you can still earn Hilton Honors points as you usually would, including qualifying for the global promotion.
Keep in mind that you can transfer Avios between the various “flavors” of the currency, so those 1,000 Avios could also be used with programs like British Airways Club, Iberia Club, etc. Personally, I value Avios at around 1.3 cents each, so to me, this is roughly a $13 incremental return on one stay. Again, it’s nothing life changing, but there’s no reason not to take advantage of that.
