Deutsche Aircraft signs strategic partnership with engineering firm Akkodis

Deutsche Aircraft has signed a strategic partnership with multinational engineering firm Akkodis with the primary aim of continuing to advance the development of the D328eco regional airliner.

As per the terms of the agreement, Akkodis will become a first-tier supplier to Deutsche Aircraft and is expected to play a major role in Deutsche Aircraft’s supply chain.

However, it must be noted that in the press release announcing the signature of this deal, the two companies have gone to great lengths to highlight that the agreement is not only a supply contract, but a long-term mutual commitment to make the D328eco a tangible reality.

Akkodis

Akkodis will contribute its expertise in aircraft system design and development to the regional airliner program, alongside its specialized engineering know-how.

In particular, Akkodis will work in areas such as the integration and testing of complex systems and the conduction of tests, both on the ground and in flight, and through the certification process. Akkodis’ digital modelling technology will also be used to evaluate alternative propulsion systems for the Do328eco, including hydrogen.

Deutsche Aircraft’s declared interest in the research of potential new propulsion systems for the regional aircraft also aligns with another strategic agreement signed by the company on September 23, 2025, with Munich-based electric aircraft developer Vaeridion. “The aim of this partnership is to explore the collaboration of the two companies in the evaluation and testing of electric propulsion systems onboard the D328eco.
