De Havilland Canada has announced that IndiaOne Air, a regional airline based in India, has signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) to acquire up to 10 Twin Otter Series 300-G aircraft.

The preliminary purchase was announced on November 18, 2025, at the Dubai Airshow, in what De Havilland Canada described as a “significant milestone for both companies”.

IndiaOne Air is a regional airline based in Ahmedabad which serves remote and underserved regions of India. The airline’s AOC was granted in June 2022.

“The Twin Otter 300-G is the most suitable aircraft for IndiaOne Air as we intend to expand our operations to more regional destinations having smaller runway lengths,” said Kumar Garg, CEO of IndiaOne Air. “Its performance, reliability, and versatility align perfectly with our mission of connecting the unconnected and bringing air travel accessibility to every corner of India.

He added: “We are delighted to partner with De Havilland Canada to bring this proven and modern platform to India’s skies.”

The new 300-G is the latest generation of the Twin Otter platform and will help IndiaOne Air expand connectivity across the country, particularly in areas with limited established airport infrastructure.

“We are proud to welcome IndiaOne Air to the De Havilland family of operators’” said Ryan DeBrusk, Vice President, Sales and Marketing at De Havilland Aircraft of Canada. “Their selection of the Twin Otter 300-G underscores the aircraft’s proven performance and suitability for challenging environments around the world. We look forward to supporting IndiaOne Air as they expand their network and connect more communities across India.”

The Twin Otter 300-G has renowned short takeoff and landing (STOL) capabilities and includes advanced avionics.

Starlink for Dash 8-400 operators

On November 17, 2025, De Havilland Canada also announced it was introducing a retrofit option of Starlink in-flight internet on its Dash 8-400 aircraft.

Starlink will be available as a ‘factory option’ through De Havilland Canada’s OEM Refurbishment Program or as a retrofit solution for in-service Dash 8-400 aircraft.

“The addition of Starlink on the Dash 8-400 demonstrates our commitment to continued investment in our products and to providing cutting-edge solutions for our customers,” said DeBrusk. “With this technology, passengers can enjoy reliable, high-speed internet access for streaming, browsing and other real-time online applications – bringing the regional flying experience in line with today’s traveller expectations.”
