Bombardier has handed over long-time customer Vista’s first Global 8000 executive jet, as part of a fleet-wide upgrade to enhance its existing Global 7500s

On April 15, 2026, Bombardier said that Vista took possession of the first of 18 Global 8000s at the aircraft manufacturer’s London Biggin Hill Service Centre.

Private jet firm Vista is due to receive the faster Global 8000 at a rate of two deliveries per month until the end of the year.

The schedule will introduce performance enhancements through advanced engineering and software upgrades.

“These developments mark another important milestone in Vista’s ongoing commitment to operating the most advanced fleet in private aviation, For our Members, greater speed and extended range translate directly into practical benefits such as reaching their destination faster or travelling more efficiently with direct flights,” Thomas Flohr, Founder and Chairman of Vista.

The upgrade program has been certified by safety and governmental agencies around the world, including Transport Canada, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).

“The Global 8000 stands apart as a truly no compromise aircraft, delivering unmatched speed, exceptional comfort and industry-leading field performance, With the addition of the Global 8000 to its fleet, Vista will offer its customers the best of what is possible in the industry,” said Eric Martel, President and CEO of Bombardier.

The Global 8000 has a top speed of Mach 0.95, making it the fastest civil aircraft since Concorde. It is powered by two GE Passport 20 engines and features a four-zone cabin configuration.

The aircraft received Transport Canada type certification in November 2025, FAA approval in December 2025, and EASA certification in January 2026. Bombardier handed over the first Global 8000 business jet to NetJets in March 2026.

In February 2026, Vista placed a $1.18 billion order for 40 Bombardier Challenger 3500 private jets, with the potential for the price to rise to $4.72 billion if options for a further 120 aircraft are exercised.

Bombardier confirmed that deliveries of the first Challenger 3500 aircraft will begin immediately with the entire process set to last 10 years.
