Saab, Boeing, and BAE Systems have signed a Letter of Intent (LoI) to collaborate on the United Kingdom’s next fast-jet trainer, proposing a version of the T-7 Red Hawk as the core of a new training system for the Royal Air Force (RAF). Under the agreement, BAE Systems will lead the industrial activity as prime contractor, with a UK-based final assembly line and expanded domestic supply chain. An American soldier was arrested Sunday while attempting to cross into Tanzania from Kenya, according to a Tanzanian police statement.Tanzanian authorities said that Charles Onkuri Ongeta was arrested while attempting to cross the border in a Toyota Land Cruiser in possession of four CS M68 hand grenades. Police said he is 30 years old, a sergeant in the U.S. Army and a dual Kenyan and U.S. citizen. Military Times has not been able to independently verify that information. Spanish carrier Iberia has announced a new nonstop route between Madrid and Toronto starting next June, with the airline scheduled to operate five weekly frequencies with its Airbus A321XLR fleet. Clocking in at around nine hours flight time, this puts the route among the longest active A321XLR flights today. Iberia was the launch customer for the A321XLR over a year ago and uses the long-range narrowbody to great effect across its transatlantic network. AMAC Aerospace’s maintenance facility in Bodrum, Turkey, has been approved as the newest member of the Airbus Corporate Jets (ACJ) Service Centre Network, expanding ACJ’s support footprint across Turkey and the Middle East. The agreement was signed at the Dubai Airshow 2025. The Bodrum site is now qualified to provide ACJ operators with maintenance, engineering, VIP cabin refurbishment, and aircraft upgrade services. It becomes AMAC’s second ACJ-approved location after Basel, Switzerland, which joined the network in December 2024.
