Saudi Arabia’s second flag carrier made headlines last month when it embarked on its first flight. A 787 took off from Riyadh, touching down at London Heathrow at sunrise. With funding secured, the carrier is now looking at global expansion, hoping to cover 100 destinations by 2030. A federal jury in the United States has ordered Gogo Business Aviation to pay $22.7 million to SmartSky Networks after finding that Gogo infringed a series of SmartSky patents tied to air-to-ground (ATG) connectivity and 5G in-flight Wi-Fi. The verdict, issued in the US District Court for the District of Delaware, marks a major development in a long-running dispute between the two rivals in the business aviation connectivity market. The fastest air-breathing vehicle ever built was the NASA X-43. Only three of these aircraft were built, with one being destroyed and two operating successfully. The X-43 testbed aircraft measured 12 feet in length with a width of five feet.
