It’s a fascinating time for the luxury cruising industry, given how the space is evolving. In particular, it’s interesting to see luxury hotel groups get into cruising, even if it’s largely just a licensing deal. In 2022, we saw the launch of Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection. This year we’re also seeing the launch of Four Seasons Yachts and Orient Express Sailing Yachts, and next year we’ll see the launch of Aman at Sea. With Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection being the established “hotel” player, it’s interesting to take an updated look at the company’s serious struggles with profitability, covered in a new Financial…
The 777X is Boeing’s new flagship aircraft. While the jet was initially supposed to enter commercial service in 2020, that timeline has been pushed back considerably. With each year that passes, it seems that entry into service for the plane is pushed back by an additional year.Up until recently, the plan was for the the plane to be certified in the coming months, before the end of 2026, meaning that commercial service could start by the summer of 2027. However, that timeline has now been pushed back yet again, and the expectation is that the plane won’t be certified until…

The uncrewed, 7,000lb (3,175 kg) prototype, called F1, was airborne for around 90 seconds within the grounds of Honda’s research and development center in San Luis Obispo, California. The Amex Membership Rewards program frequently offers transfer bonuses. The program has just launched its latest hotel transfer bonus — while I wouldn’t say it’s particularly compelling, it’s at least worth being aware of. Paraguayan airline Paranair has been sold to a new owner. According to reports that appeared in local media, all of Paranair’s shares were acquired by Canadian and Bolivian investors in February 2026, but the deal was only made public in late May. The Canadian investor, a firm called International Airways Holding, has acquired the bulk of Paranair’s shares at 95%, leaving the remaining 5% reportedly in the hands of Bolivian businessman Marco Paniagua. The financial details of the deal, which also includes Paranair’s MRO division, have not been disclosed. The Paraguayan aviation authority (DINAC) is currently performing an assessment of…

easyJet has described a possible takeover bid by Castlelake as “highly opportunistic” after news broke of the US investor’s interest in the low-cost carrier.
