Boeing anticipates increased deliveries of 737 and 787 aircraft in 2026, which the company believes will enhance cash flow, according to Boeing’s Executive VP of Finance & CFO Jay Malave.  During a presentation at the UBS Global Industrials & Transportation Conference on December 2, 2025, Malave stated that the 737-production ramp is on track.  “It takes a few months to take the production cadence and move that into output,” Malave said during the conference. “November 2025 here is going to probably be a little bit light on deliveries, but our production rollouts are pretty much exactly where we expected.”  Malave said that a minimum six-month gap between…

The Boeing 737 family was introduced with the 737-100 on its first commercial service in February 1968. Boeing has developed and improved the product line over the years, from the Classic, Next Generation, and all the way through to the MAX family today. Since then, the industry has seen over 12,000 737 variants delivered as of September 2025. Boeing developed the 737 MAX to compete with Airbus’s A320neo, which offered airlines more fuel-efficient engines and lower operating costs. The goal was to update the 737 family with newer, larger, high-bypass engines while keeping the same fuselage, cockpit, and production lines,…

Poland has authorized Defense Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz to request financing from the European Union’s SAFE program, opening the way for the country’s first dedicated aerial refueling and strategic transport aircraft.   A government filing from late November 2025 confirms that tanker and transport aircraft are among the priority projects Poland intends to cover through its national SAFE allocation of up to €43.7 billion. Warsaw is reportedly considering the purchase of two to four Airbus A330 MRTT aircraft at a cost of up to €1 billion.  Officials say the capability has become increasingly crucial as Poland expands its…

Global Airlines is just the gift that keeps on giving… A Hi Fly Airbus A340 now has Global Airlines branding For some background, Global Airlines is perhaps the strangest “airline startup” we’ve ever seen. The airline supposedly intends to operate a fleet of Airbus A380s, for reasons that most of us can’t actually make sense of. This past spring, the company did actually (sort of) operate a grand total of four A380 flights with passengers. I say “sort of” because Global Airlines doesn’t actually have its own air operator certificate, so the flights were really operated by Hi Fly. Not…

Etihad Airways is unquestionably one of the world’s fastest-growing network airlines. It has already announced service to an eye-popping 30+ new and returning cities this year, although big questions remain about whether such heavy expansion in so little time is sustainable. It is also expanding in existing markets. In the most recent development, it will now deploy the Airbus A321LR to Amsterdam, albeit only temporarily. The narrowbody will also be used to increase the frequency to Düsseldorf and Munich. Currently, Etihad plans 22 LR-operated routes from its Abu Dhabi hub in 2026, although this number will increase. Domestic air travel in the United States just got a lot more serious about identity. As of 2025, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has fully implemented the REAL ID Act and introduced an alternative verification system for those who arrive without a compliant ID.
