As Spirit Airlines continues to struggle with financial solvency, the low-cost carrier is in the process of obtaining court approval to cancel 87 aircraft leases from 16 different owners. The aircraft are predominantly Airbus A320neo later-generation airliners, however, a portion are also A320ceo legacy jets. These aircraft are predominantly powered by Pratt & Whitney’s PW1100G-JM geared turbofan engines, which are still subject to widespread recalls due to manufacturing defects. The handicapped narrowbody jets leave prospective buyers in a bind, leading lessors to consider scrapping as a better alternative than finding new lessees. As the US Air Force and Northrop Grumman strive to bring the world’s first sixth-generation strategic strike aircraft into production, the B-21 Raider remains shrouded in secrecy. Slivers of information about its performance and capabilities have been released to the public. From what little we know, the B-21 is set to take the Air Force Global Strike Command (AFGSC) into a new era of stealth and strategic power. Notably, the B-21 is expected to have a lower maximum payload and fewer engines than the B-2 Spirit, which it replaces. It will have only two engines, and there’s speculation that it…

The new model uses a coaxial four-axis, eight-rotor layout with larger motors, 62-inch carbon fiber propellers, and an optimized wing design. DJI says the upgrades allow the drone to carry 65 kilograms for 12 kilometers on two batteries, or 80 kilograms for 6 kilometers in a single-battery…

Alaska Airlines has finally managed to secure the necessary slots at London Heathrow Airport to enable it to launch its new route from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. Scheduled to start in the spring, the nonstop service will be flown using a 300-seat Boeing 787-9 in a three-class layout. Slots at Heathrow are notoriously hard to come by, and Alaska Airlines had failed in its first attempt to acquire them from the slot coordinator last month. Undaunted, it has now signed an agreement to lease daily slot pairs from American Airlines, allowing it to begin its new SEA-LHR service from May 2026.…
Business class is essentially the best way to travel today. While true first class products still exist, they’re becoming rarer and more exclusive as airlines that do offer them focus on selling them as a luxury experience for ultra-high-net-worth individuals, making business class the most comfortable way to travel that’s accessible to passengers. Business class comes with improved seats, improved service and catering, onboard amenities, along with an enhanced airport experience. The core of the ground experience is access to the airline’s lounge. Airlines typically grant access to designated lounges for business class passengers, which come with improved food and…
