Following the well-received revamp of the La Première cabin earlier this year, Air France is now to extend the first-class service to four more cities, three of which are in the US. Air France introduced the new La Première cabin in March 2025, with each luxury suite including nearly 3.5 square meters of space, plus a seat and a chaise longue that converts into a two-meter-long bed. Spread across a generous five windows, each converted Boeing 777-300ER aircraft includes four suites with a thick, floor-to-ceiling curtain separating the guests. The first Boeing 777-300ER departed Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG)…
President Donald Trump’s administration set forth a new national security strategy that paints European allies as weak and aims to reassert America’s dominance in the Western Hemisphere. The document released Friday by the White House is sure to roil long-standing U.S. allies in Europe for its scathing critiques of their migration and free speech policies, suggesting they face the “prospect of civilizational erasure” and raising doubts about their long-term reliability as American partners. It reinforces, in sometimes chilly and bellicose terms, Trump’s “America First” philosophy, which favors nonintervention overseas, questions decades of strategic relationships and prioritizes U.S. interests above all.The U.S. strategy…
When flying with American Airlines, you have a few options for class of travel. All flights feature an economy as well as an extra-legroom (Main Cabin Extra) option. Most short-haul flights (except for those operated by 50-seat Embraer ERJ-145 aircraft) offer a domestic first-class cabin. Long-haul flights and select transcontinental routes offer Flagship business class, and flights operated by the Boeing 777-300ER and select Airbus A321-200 aircraft offer an international first class cabin (which will be going away). Then, there’s premium economy. Premium economy is available on all American Airlines widebody aircraft and Airbus A321XLR aircraft. It slots above the…
The 127th and, under current plans, last F-16 to be converted into an optionally-piloted QF-16 full-scale aerial target has been delivered to the U.S. Air Force. Marking the transition from production to the sustainment phase, Boeing Defense has celebrated this milestone delivery by releasing short video featuring interviews with some of the personnel who have worked on the program through its 15 year history. The requirement to convert surplus F-16 Fighting Falcon aircraft into full-scale aerial targets (FSAT) was drawn up in the mid 2000s, with interested companies invited to submit their bids for the contract. In 2010, a $69.7…

The freighter industry continues to struggle with building a sufficient supply of engines and components as global demand drives soaring market values. “We’re seeing engine values go up something like 50%,” David Ellis, chief commercial officer of leasing, investments, finance and trading at GA Telesis, said this week during the Cargo Facts webinar, “Full thrust: […] source
What a difference a year makes. Only Emirates and Korean Air plan to use the Airbus A380 to New York JFK in 2026. In contrast, Asiana, Etihad, and Lufthansa also flew the type there in 2025. One or more of these airlines may schedule the quadjet to the Big Apple again. Using Cirium Diio data to compare the first ten months of 2025 with the same period in 2026 shows that JFK’s double-decker flights have reduced by 39%. As Korean Air’s superjumbo offering is currently only scheduled through March 2026, Q3 2026—the peak summer—is down to have 47% fewer A380…

The aircraft will initially serve as an operational spare during the Christmas travel period. Starting January 1, 2026, it will enter regular service on the Sydney to Dallas route, enabling daily A380 operations on that connection.
