A major winter storm is impacting New York City and the wider Northeast beginning Friday, December 26, and continuing into Saturday. Forecasts indicate the city could receive its heaviest snowfall in several years, coinciding with one of the busiest post-holiday travel periods. The U.S. Navy is acquiring and undisclosed number of BriteCloud Active Expendable Decoys specifically for the F-35 Lightning II. The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) has awarded Leonardo UK a contract to supply the U.S. Navy with an undisclosed number of BriteCloud decoys, designated by the military as AN/ALQ-260(V) Anti-Missile Countermeasure. The development follows report earlier this year and in 2024 about NAVAIR negotiating the procurement. New York-based JetBlue has called time on its frequent flier collaboration with Japan Airlines, as the airline’s TrueBlue frequent flier members will no longer be able to redeem points for Japan Airlines flights from March 31 next year, as shared by JL. Thai Airways has just welcomed its first Airbus A321neo to the fleet, after it took a delivery flight from Airbus’ Hamburg Finkenwerder Airport with a stopover in Dubai. The aircraft touched down in Bangkok as an early Christmas present, arriving on Christmas Eve (December 24). The aircraft is the next chapter in the Thai flag carrier modernising its fleet. The Airbus A321neo, which bears registration HS-TOA (serial number 12942), will be the first of ten of the type that will be operated for Thai Airways through a lease agreement with Irish aircraft lessor AerCap.
