The White House said it removed National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) member J. Todd Inman after receiving reports of inappropriate alcohol use on the job, harassment of staff, misuse of government resources, and repeated absences from board meetings, allegations that Inman flatly denied as a “political hit job.”   Inman, a Republican and former chief of staff to Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao during President Donald Trump’s first term, said that he had been fired on March 6, 2026, without explanation. Reuters first reported on March 8 that Inman said the White House had not given him a reason for his dismissal. By March 9, however, White…

Saab has said Portuguese aerospace company OGMA could play a role in producing parts for the Gripen fighter if Portugal eventually selects the aircraft to replace its aging F-16 fleet, as the Swedish manufacturer steps up its industrial pitch in a competition that is still at an early stage.  In comments published by Portuguese outlet ECO, Saab said OGMA has “a lot of potential” to participate in Gripen production in Portugal. Subscription Required By Scott Hamilton Kevin Michaels, AeroDynamic Advisory. Credit: PNAA. March 9, 2026, © Leeham News: Every year since the end of the global COVID-19 pandemic, everyone associated in whatever capacity with aerospace has complained about the supply chain. There is a workforce shortage. Suppliers are unable to meet contractual deadlines. Airbus and Boeing haven’t been able to deliver their airplanes on time. Sometimes the aircraft are months later. Engine makers are to blame. Interior suppliers are to blame. The little supplier making the widget is to blame. Delays still plague the industry, but at long, long last, there…

I have an honest question I can’t wrap my head around, and I’m curious if any OMAAT readers can help. Does anyone understand why people selectively stress over credit card fraud when sharing credit card details with others? I assume it’s just one of those irrational things, but I’d love to know if I’m missing something… Let me state upfront that all of the below is specific to US-issued credit cards, based on the consumer protections that are in place here. Credit card theft paranoia makes no sense to me I always find it interesting how many people have a…
