Delta Air Lines (NYSE: DAL) will be rolling out a fleet-wide cabin redesign, with the Boeing 757 set to debut the product in the fall of 2025, and the Airbus A350 will introduce the product shortly after. Workers at Boeing’s defense plants in Missouri and Illinois have rejected the company’s most recent contract offer, extending a strike that has now entered its seventh week. Roughly 3,200 members of IAM District 837, who build fighter jets and other military systems in the St. Louis area, rejected the proposal on September 12 by a 57%–43% margin.  The strike began on August 4, 2025, after earlier contract offers were also rejected. The Federal Aviation Administration has proposed $3.14 million in civil penalties against Boeing over safety violations tied to 737 production and oversight lapses that came to light after a January 2024 Alaska Airlines 737 MAX 9 door-plug blowout. The agency said the alleged violations occurred between September 2023 and February 2024. According to the FAA, inspectors documented “hundreds” of quality-system violations at Boeing’s 737 factory in Renton, Washington, and at Spirit AeroSystems’ 737 fuselage plant in Wichita, Kansas. Plans to launch a new flight connecting Kazakhstan to the United States, originally slated for 2025, were delayed due to Boeing 787 delivery setbacks.
