A Boston-inspired livery is now taking to the skies for JetBlue, as an Airbus A320 celebrates more than two decades of flights at 
Boston Logan International Airport (BOS), reaffirming the carrier as the suggested ‘city’s favourite airline’. This comes as the New York-based airline adds more routes and capacity from the city, while also set to open a new BlueHouse lounge later next year.
‘Wicked Blue’ is a specially painted A320 that embodies the pride of Boston, not only for the community, but also crew members and curstomers which have all contributed to the airline’s success serving the city in New England. Wicked Blue is a nod to the airline’s dedication to Boston, featuringana A320 tail postcard stamp with the dates of the first ever service to BOS. As of December 2025, JetBlue operates 65 year-round destinations from Boston, with an additional 41 cities added seasonally.

A nod to Boston roots, the livery has been freshly painted onto the Airbus A320, with a postcard-style stamp that features the first revenue flight from Boston. Across the plane’s fuselage is the word ‘BOSTON’, with city-inspired illustrations that feature in every letter. These include Boston’s iconic transportation system, the Paul Revere statue, Zakim Bridge, lobster, the Massachusetts State House, and the National Grid tank.
The president of JetBlue, Marty St. George, shared a statement as published by the carrier, which celebrated the airline’s long-standing history serving the city, and how proud it is to now offer another uniquely designed aircraft, which is covered in several iconic Boston illustrations, reaffirming the carrier is committed to developing its already extensive offering at BOS.
“Wicked Blue embodies our pride in the Boston community, crewmembers and customers who have helped build JetBlue into the airline we are today. Boston is one of our most important markets with a huge loyalty base, and it’s a key driver of our JetForward strategy to offer the best East Coast leisure network.
“We wanted to say thank you to Bostonians who’ve supported us for over 20 years, and what’s more fitting than sending our pride for Boston flying all over our network?”
The Cities Leading Airline
JetBlue operates a robust network of leisure-focused routes to and from Boston, offering more mainline seats to and from the city than any other carrier. Since the beginning of services to BOS in 2004, the airline has grown to become a crowd favourite for those looking to escape the winter season to warm destinations such as California, Florida, and the Caribbean.
The airline is also planning to expand its international footprint from the airport, including more trans-Atlantic services such as Barcelona (from April 16) and Milan (May 11). This comes as additional links are added from Boston to Florida (Daytona Beach and Vero Beach – both commencing this December).
Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) will also become the airline’s second BlueHouse location, where a new lounge will open in the airport’s Terminal C, offering eligible travelers the opportunity to relax and retreat into teh airlines lounge, which includes locally inspired food and drink offerings.

Aircraft N537JT Details
The aircraft sporting the new livery is 23.7 year old N537JT (pictured above in Phoenix in 2023). According to ch-aviation, the airline which took its first test flight under French Airbus registration F-WWDP on April 12, 3002, was delivered to JetBlue on June 20, 2002, where it was registered under N537JB, with the nickname ‘Red, White and Blue’.
Between April 14, 2008, and October 9, 2010, the aircraft took a hiatus to fly for Blue Wings, a German carrier that ceased operations in January 2010. The aircraft was subsequently returned to JetBlue in 2010, where it was registered under N537JT. It is currently configured to carry up to 162 passengers in a single-class economy configuration, and is powered by two IAE V2527-A5 engines.
