I hope everyone is having a nice weekend so far! I’m at home with family, but have a big summer trip planned for a couple of weeks from now, which I’m still finalizing arrangements for (it takes a bit more effort when traveling with two little kids!). Given that it’s Memorial Day Weekend, it’s also the start of what’s traditionally thought of as the summer travel period, so I’m curious to see how this summer plays out in terms of travel demand.
On the points & travel front, this week World of Hyatt implemented its major award pricing changes, Emirates Skywards increased award pricing with one silver lining, Riyadh Air officially put tickets on sale to the public, Emirates was reportedly asked to launch long haul flights out of Israel, and more.
