America’s fleet of stealth air superiority fighters is starting to get long in the tooth. Despite remaining the unquestioned apex predator of the TACAIR (tactical aircraft) world, the Lockheed Martin (LM) F-22 Raptors of the US Air Force are aging. The USAF isn’t ready to give up on the Raptor just yet. The fifth-generation fighters are slated for an overhaul, one that may have begun already.
