Oracle Bakes AI Into Opera Cloud Hotel Operations

Oracle is putting artificial intelligence inside the hotel software its customers already run, and not charging extra for it.

The company on Tuesday announced Opera Cloud Assistant, a set of AI tools built into front desk, revenue, and configuration screens inside Oracle’s hotel property management system. Oracle is making the tools available at no additional cost.

For hotel staff, the pitch is fewer interruptions. An associate who hits a wall mid-shift can ask the system how to run a report or handle a guest issue without stopping to find a manager or digging through manual
