Lufthansa is to bring its Allegris cabin to 11 new destinations this winter, expanding the reach of the premium product it introduced in 2024.
The Allegris interior, which features updated seating, higher-end materials, and new technology across all classes, will now be available on routes from Frankfurt Airport (FRA) to Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KUL); Vancouver International Airport (YVR); George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) in Houston; Denver International Airport (DEN); Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL); Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport (DTW); Juan Santamaría International Airport (SJO) in San José; and Incheon International Airport (ICN) in Seoul.
From Munich Airport (MUC), the product will debut on flights to Singapore Changi Airport (SIN), Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD), and Cape Town International Airport (CPT).
The Kuala Lumpur route launches October 25, 2026 with five weekly flights, operated by a Boeing 787-9 configured with 287 seats across three classes. The same aircraft will serve a new Frankfurt-Chennai International Airport (MAA) route, starting in March.
Lufthansa is also increasing frequencies on high-demand routes. From Frankfurt, that means more flights to Rio de Janeiro–Galeão International Airport (GIG); Juan Santamaría International Airport (SJO); El Dorado International Airport (BOG) in Bogotá; Murtala Muhammed International Airport (LOS) in Lagos; and Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (HYD) in Hyderabad.
From Munich, frequencies will be boosted on routes to São Paulo–Guarulhos International Airport (GRU); Mexico City International Airport (MEX); O.R. Tambo International Airport (JNB) in Johannesburg; and Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD).

SWISS will launch flights from Zurich Airport (ZRH) to Kempegowda International Airport (BLR) in Bengaluru, its first destination in southern India. The airline will also bring its SWISS Senses long-haul product to O.R. Tambo International Airport (JNB) in Johannesburg and Shanghai Pudong International Airport (PVG) this winter on the Airbus A350.
ITA Airways is entering the Central American market with a new seasonal route from Rome Fiumicino Airport (FCO) to Las Américas International Airport (SDQ) in Santo Domingo. The airline will also continue its Rome-Houston and Rome-London Heathrow Airport (LHR) routes through the winter after launching them this summer.
Brussels Airlines will begin flying from Brussels Airport (BRU) to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) on June 3. Originally planned as a summer-only route, the service will continue through the winter due to strong demand, operating once weekly from late October through mid-December and twice weekly from mid-December through late February.
Nordic and leisure expansion
Discover Airlines is adding two Moroccan destinations: Agadir–Al Massira Airport (AGA) from Frankfurt and Fès–Saïs Airport (FEZ) from Munich, the latter being the only direct connection to the historic city from Bavaria. The carrier will also operate weekly flights from Munich to Ivalo Airport (IVL) in Finnish Lapland from mid-December through mid-April.
Edelweiss is expanding service to Finland and Norway and extending its season to Luleå Airport (LLA) in Swedish Lapland. The Swiss leisure carrier is also adding capacity to the Canary Islands, Faro Airport (FAO), Bilbao Airport (BIO), Seville Airport (SVQ), and Palma de Mallorca Airport (PMI).
Eurowings is adding a new winter route from Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER) to Kuusamo Airport (KAO) in Finnish Lapland while increasing frequencies to Rovaniemi Airport (RVN) and Kittilä Airport (KTT). The carrier’s ‘Capital Express’ network from Berlin will expand too, with flights to Rome launching November 2 and a London Heathrow Airport (LHR) service continuing through winter. From Düsseldorf Airport (DUS), Eurowings will offer year-round flights to Adolfo Suárez Madrid–Barajas Airport (MAD) for the first time.
