The webinar is organised to present an update on EASA’s research project, “Impact of security measures on safety”. This project has been implemented to better understand the scope and nature of interdependencies between aviation safety and security.

Task 2 formed a pivotal part of the project, focusing on assessing how existing security measures affect aviation safety. This included mapping key physical and information security threats against safety–security interdependencies, analysing impacts across systems, personnel, and operations, and using stakeholder consultations to identify potential gaps and opportunities for enhancing safety outcomes.

This webinar will explain the work carried out during Task 2, highlighting the findings, insights, and outputs that can support a more integrated approach to aviation safety and security.
Read more on the project tasks and deliverables.
