From SnF 25 (YouTube Edition): SR-71 Probably The Last Thing You Might Expect At PlaneTags Dave Hall, CEO of MotoArt PlaneTags, spoke with AERO-TV at the Sun ‘n Fun in April. First he talked about securing a stabilizer from a Lockheed Martin SR-71. It was from the first Blackbird that was manufactured and Hall said it came to them, they weren’t looking for it. But then Lockheed Martin contacted him and asked, “How did you get this?” Although he didn’t say where or how he got it, Hall did say that the launch was delayed until Lockheed approved it. Lockheed did subsequently approve PlaneTags’ offering and they are officially licensed by the manufacturer.
