The aircraft quickly took the stage for its simplicity, stability, and exceptional performance. The Carbon Cub UL began as a method for CubCrafters to further invest in the somewhat untapped international market. It falls under European ultralight standards, weighing in at 860 lbs empty and having a maximum takeoff weight of 1320 lbs. Though it was initially aimed at overseas customers, the Carbon Cub UL has already become a massive worldwide hit. It is based primarily on CubCrafters’s vastly popular Carbon Cub SS model, which has consistently topped the chart for American light-sport sales.
