British Airways is continuing to tap into the short-haul leisure market by adding three new routes to the roster of its regional subsidiary, BA Cityflyer. These flights, which are bookable now, will operate throughout the 2026 Northern Hemisphere summer season, and serve destinations known for the appeal of their beaches and coastline. They will be served by two flights a week, with two schedules aimed at weekend trips and one at full weeks.
Historically speaking, BA Cityflyer, as its name suggests, has primarily operated out of London City (LCY), offering a convenient and more central alternative to British Airways’ mainline hub to the west at 
London Heathrow Airport (LHR). However, only one of these routes will originate at London City.
London City To Toulon
The corridor in question serves Toulon Hyères Le Palyvestre Airport (TLN) in the south of France, and is marketed as an ideal means of accessing the French Riviera and Saint Tropez without having to fly into a larger hub such as Nice (NCE) or Marseille (MRS). BA CityFlyer will serve this route from May 23 to September 1 next year, operating two return flights a week on Tuesdays and Saturdays with block times of around two hours.
British Airways highlights the fact that Toulon is “the closest airport to Saint-Tropez at just 30 miles away, giving customers easier access than ever to the French Riviera’s glamorous beaches and coastal towns.” This facility will be the UK flag carrier’s regional subsidiary’s fourth French destination, alongside Bergerac, Chambery, and Nice, with tickets starting at £127 ($169.45) each way. Ian Romanis, the Managing Director of BA Cityflyer, said:
“Adding Toulon Saint-Tropez from London City Airport gives customers more choice and convenience when travelling to the French Riviera, further strengthening our leisure offering from the heart of London.”
London Stansted To Olbia
Elsewhere, BA Cityflyer is also set to diversify its offering in the capital city of the United Kingdom by adding flights from 
London Stansted Airport (STN) to Olbia Costa Smeralda Prince Karim Aga Khan IV Airport (OLB) on the Italian island of Sardinia. While Stansted isn’t as convenient as London City as far as having a central location is concerned, it benefits from a large catchment area of potential customers from north London and East Anglia.
These flights will operate from May 23 to September 27 next year. While they will also operate twice a week, their days of operation are aimed more at passengers looking to spend a full week in Olbia, compared to the Saturday-Tuesday long weekend schedule offered on the London City-Toulon route. For Olbia, two flights will depart Stansted every Saturday this summer, with one returning on the same day and the other coming back on Sunday.
Passengers looking to book flights on this route can expect prices to start at the same £127 level as the flights between London City Airport and Toulon. Stansted will be one of two London airports with BA Cityflyer services to Olbia next summer, with its two weekly round trips being joined by five from London City. They will be operated by Embraer E190 regional twinjets with a flexible two-class cabin including ‘Club Europe’ business class.

Glasgow To San Sebastian
Looking north, BA Cityflyer’s third new summer seasonal route for 2026 will depart from Glasgow Airport (GLA) in Scotland. Its destination is San Sebastian (EAS) in northern Spain, with two return flights a week aimed at long weekend breaks, departing on Tuesdays and Saturdays with block times of around two and a half hours. BA Cityflyer plans to operate this route for a shorter period, between July 18 and September 8 of next year.
Fares on this route will be slightly lower than the others, starting at £113 ($150.77) each way and “including a generous baggage allowance.” Glasgow will be one of three UK airports with BA Cityflyer services to San Sebastian next year, with the others being London City (thrice-weekly) and Edinburgh (twice-weekly).
