Book A Southwest Airlines Ticket, Get Promotional Companion Pass

Southwest Airlines has just introduced an incredibly generous promotion, which we see several times per year. With this, you can earn a promotional Companion Pass after booking a single roundtrip ticket, and that could be a great deal.

Book a ticket, get Companion Pass for several weeks

With a new promotion from Southwest, you can earn a promotional Companion Pass by booking a single roundtrip ticket (or two one-ways). Here are the details of how this works:

  • You must register for the promotion, and then purchase one roundtrip or two one-way tickets between February 2 and February 5, 2026 (yes, the ticket has to be booked after registering, so it’s a short booking window; however, you can always cancel an existing ticket and rebook with vouchers)
  • In order for a ticket to qualify, it can be booked with cash, points, or Cash + Points; the only exclusion is that Basic tickets don’t quality
  • You must travel by March 31, 2026
  • Then you can earn a promotional Companion Pass that’s valid for travel between August 10 and October 7, 2026; you’ll be able to change your companion up to three times during the promotion period

This is an extremely generous offer. We usually see an offer like this a few times per year, so it’s nice to see it return. It seems that even with all the other changes at Southwest, this promotion is at least one thing that’s remaining consistent.

There’s a great Southwest Companion Pass promo

What is Southwest Airlines Companion Pass?

For those of you not familiar with Companion Pass, it’s one of the best deals in travel. Those with Companion Pass can have a companion fly with them for just the cost of taxes, regardless of whether paying cash or redeeming points. Essentially think of it as a two-for-one travel pass, which is otherwise pretty unheard of.

Ordinarily Southwest Companion Pass requires 100 flights or 135,000 qualifying points in a calendar year, so this promotion offers quite the shortcut (though also with a limited travel window).

Earn a limited time Companion Pass with this promotion

Bottom line

Southwest Airlines has introduced a generous promotion that can earn you Companion Pass. Those who register and then book a roundtrip ticket between February 2 and February 5 for travel by March 31 can earn a promotional Companion Pass valid for several weeks later this year.

Obviously this promotion isn’t for everyone, but if you have any travel to potentially plan over the promotion period, then this offer is seriously worth considering. It’s awesome how often Southwest offers this promotion.

Do you plan on taking advantage of this Southwest Companion Pass promo?
