The 
Dubai Airshow 2025 is coming in just a week from today, with gates opening on November 17, and Boeing is gearing up. As of the time this story was written, the Boeing 777X is a few hours away from touchdown at Dubai’s 
Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC). FlightAware live tracking shows that the colossal “triple-seven-X” is scheduled to land just after 13:00 local time.
This year’sThe 777X is set to be one of the headlining aircraft displays, not only because it will be the largest twin jet in history when it finally enters service, but also because the Gulf Carriers will be the largest operators of the latest and greatest 
Boeing jet.
Boeing’s Customer Commitment
The 777x has had a heavily delayed and troubled history of development, however, it is very near certification, with Boeing finally preparing to enter the full-scale production phase. The airlines of the Middle East are set to receive hundreds of the innovative new widebody with the order books growing in backlog for years already.
Despite missing the original entry into service (EIS) of 2020 by the better part of a decade, Boeing is striving to ensure that the colossal twinjet will be worth the wait. Not only will the aircraft have incredibly long range and class-leading seat capacity, but thanks to its industry-first folding wingtips and GE9X engines (the most powerful turbofans ever made), it will also be the most efficient jetliner in the sky.

More Than Just A World Class Airshow
The world-famous Dubai Airshow is fast approaching with a star-studded list of commercial jets, helicopters, private planes, and warbirds to stun spectators with flying displays and experiences. The show has hosted awesome performances from aerobatic teams, colossal Airbus A380 “Super Jumbos” flying in formation, and appearances by the much-anticipated 777X prototype.
The Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) is also one of Boeing’s best customers in the world. The kingdom’s air force has a large fleet of F-15 Eagle fighter jets, as well as unique planes like the E-3 Sentry airborne command and control (AWACS) aircraft.
The 2025 installment will be the largest event in the airshow’s history, with over 8,000 square meters of venue space hosting over 1,500 exhibitions run by nearly 150,000 professionals hailing from more than 150 nations around the world. Gates are opening on November 17th and closing a few days later on the 21st.
In the course of that small window, visitors have the opportunity to see some of the most exciting technologies emerging in commercial and defense aerospace technology. There will be displays of electric air taxis, spacecraft, drones, and more alongside four stages with expert speakers and guest panels charting the course for the future of the industry. From the “Party on the Runway” to the “Airshow After Dark,” there are countless ways to enjoy the show.
Gulf Carriers Leveling Up
The leading Airlines of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), alongside other Gulf Carriers, will be the largest operators of the 777X when it goes into service. 
Emirates has ordered over 200 of the upcoming jet, while 
Qatar Airways has placed orders for nearly 100, and other airlines in the region are also among the top customers. Emirates is the top operator of the A380, and has the largest widebody fleet in the world, including a large number of Boeing 777 and other Airbus jets.
Meanwhile, other Gulf Carriers like Qatar, Etihad, Saudia, and Turkish all have similarly large fleets of huge jetliners. The airlines of this region will collectively be home to the largest concentration of 777Xs in the world. Renowned for luxury and the highest levels of service standards, the massive jet will allow each of these airlines to take their own already exceptionally high-quality product to an even higher level.
