Hello, live from a mostly excellent (as usual) transatlantic Air France business class flight… and I have a question! Kids scream at top of their lungs, parents do nothing A lot of people get unreasonably frustrated with children (especially infants and toddlers) on flights. Kids can sometimes be hard to control and can most definitely be annoying to people around them, but they’re part of society. Airplanes are a form of transportation, so as unpleasant as it might be, you should expect that kids will sometimes scream on flights. While we haven’t done much travel yet with our younger son,…

Having kids changes everything in life, and that includes travel. I thought I was an expert on navigating airlines and hotels before we had kids, and then suddenly I felt like a complete newbie. The concept of just rolling up to the airport 45 minutes before departure with a carry-on and relaxing (or typing furiously) for most of the flight is no longer a thing. In this post, I’d like to talk a bit about how my perspective on hotels has changed over the years, especially as our older son, Miles, is a few months short of being four years…

I don’t mean to be a skeptic, but the evidence presented doesn’t really seem to justify the narrative… though I’d love to be proven wrong, and I welcome other takes. Air Côte d’Ivoire tells a story of aircraft sabotage Air Côte d’Ivoire is the national airline of the Ivory Coast. The airline recently took delivery of two Airbus A330-900neos, which fascinate me to no end, given that they feature first class. Currently, the airline flies these planes primarily between Abidjan (ABJ) and Paris (CDG). Unsurprisingly, the financial performance of these routes has left a lot to be desired up until…
