Norway and NHIndustries (NHI) have reached an amicable settlement resolving all disputes related to the country’s terminated NH90 helicopter program, the two sides announced in a joint statement on November 3, 2025.  Under the agreement, NHIndustries will take back all NH90 helicopters previously delivered to Norway, along with spare parts, tools, and mission-specific equipment. The company will assume full ownership of the recovered assets and reintegrate them into the broader NH90 program, making parts and equipment available to other operators.  In exchange, NHI will pay Norway €305 million (about $330 million), in addition to around €70 million (about $76 million)…

Airlines continue to plan for next summer, and Lufthansa is no exception. In the weekend’s schedule update, the Star Alliance member scheduled seven Airbus A380 routes. It came as Qatar Airways announced the start of superjumbo service to Singapore. Unlike last year, Lufthansa is a few months later in scheduling its summer A380 plans. Qatar Airways has expanded its African network by forming a new codeshare partnership with Air Algérie, creating new routes from Algeria to important destinations in Asia and the Middle East through Hamad International Airport (DOH).  From November 3, 2025, travelers can book codeshare flights starting on November 15, 2025, the airline announced in a statement.   The codeshare provides Qatar Airways passengers with easier access to Algiers and six other significant destinations in Air Algérie’s domestic network, such as Annaba, Constantine, Oran, Tamanrasset, Timimoun, and Tindouf.  Similarly, Air Algérie will offer more travel options for its passengers traveling to Hong Kong,…

Cebu Pacific’s (CEB) latest Airbus A330neo touched down at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (MNL) on November 2, 2025, after completing its delivery flight from Airbus’ facility in Toulouse, France. The aircraft is the third of four widebody jets set to join the low-cost carrier’s fleet this year. The airline took delivery of its first two A330neos on March 28, 2025, and July 18, 2025. Recent years have seen biometrics play an increasingly important role in commercial aviation, with the use of smart cameras expediting procedures such as check-in and boarding while also ensuring contactless processes. Emirates has now become the latest airline to invest in such technology, following its announcement that it has installed more than 200 biometric cameras.
