For many of its operators, the Boeing 767 freighter is reaching the end of its life. The 767-300F entered into service with UPS Airlines in 1995 and the first 767-300 Converted Freighter arrived at All Nippon Airways in June 2008. It is time for these airlines to start considering replacements. The most likely candidate is the 777-8F, the freighter variant of the upcoming and long-delayed 777X. This jet aims to bring the incredible power and efficiency of the 777X to the cargo market. However, it will have to achieve dominance over its old adversary. The upcoming Airbus A350F has currently…

A Delta Air Lines flight from London Heathrow Airport to Boston Logan International Airport was forced to make an emergency return on Sunday when fumes filled the cockpit. It was able to make a safe return to the airport about an hour and a half after taking off. The Nomad family of drones will be based off the novel rotor blown wing VTOL UAS which Sikorsky has been developing and testing. Sikorsky has announced a new family of long-endurance, runway-independent drones, called Nomad, designed for reconnaissance, light attack, contested logistics and more. In the first three days of October, Breeze Airways, Southwest Airlines, and Allegiant Air introduced 13 routes. Unsurprisingly, most of them were started by the fast-growing and still relatively new Breeze. They included Salisbury, which marked the carrier’s debut in Maryland. Seven of the 12 airport pairs were unserved when the relevant carrier began flights. Much more interestingly, five of the airport pairs are brand-new. No airline has ever served them before. Needless to say, Southwest didn’t start them. These 2 Routes Began On October 1 Credit: Salisbury Regional Airport On Wednesday, October 1, Breeze took off from Orlando International, which…
In June of this year, we saw an Air India Boeing 787-8 crash, killing all but one person onboard. This was the most fatal aviation accident in around a decade, and to this day, there’s still a lot of mystery surrounding what happened. Well, a couple of days ago we saw an incident involving another Air India Dreamliner, which has an eery similarity to the previous incident, as reported by The Aviation Herald. Pilots are even calling on the aircraft type to be grounded, pending inspections. Is what happened a coincidence, or could the two incidents be linked? Air India…
Boeing is set to increase its 737 MAX production rate to 42 jets per month, according to people familiar with the matter who spoke to Bloomberg. The change could reportedly take effect as soon as this month, as the American aircraft manufacturer has begun instructing its suppliers to prepare for the ramp-up. Currently, production of the Boeing 737 MAX is capped at 38 units per month by the United States Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The limit was introduced in early 2024 following an incident involving an Alaska Airlines Boeing 737 MAX 9, during which a door plug blew out mid-flight.…
When we think of Airbus, most of us picture sleek airliners crossing the globe, from the popular Airbus A320 series, which you can spot literally at every airport in the world, to the majestic superjumbo, the iconic Airbus A380. However, while the company’s aircraft dominate the skies, few people are aware that Airbus collaborates with the ESA (European Space Agency) in outer space, which could prove even more groundbreaking. The European aeronautical giant is at the forefront of a revolution in weather forecasting, building satellites and systems that promise to make predictions sharper, faster, and more relevant to our daily…
