Big changes are coming to Icelandair’s long-haul Airbus A321LR network. According to the carrier’s recent schedule update for the peak summer of 2026, the single-aisle equipment’s US offer will see flights to Newark, New York JFK, Orlando, and Portland. Sikorsky has introduced a new family of vertical take-off and landing drones called Nomad, expanding its work on autonomous, long-range aircraft that can operate from land or sea without a runway.  The announcement came on October 6, 2025, less than a year after the company proved the flight performance of its experimental rotor-blown wing prototype. The CEO of TAP Air Portugal, Luis Rodrigues, said at an event in Lisbon that the soon-to-be-privatized national airline is prepared for bullish growth in Brazil and Africa. The airline already flies to 13 Brazilian cities and 14 African destinations, including cities across Portuguese-speaking nations on both continents. Wizz Air plans to expand its operations from Wrocław Airport (WRO) in Poland, adding three entirely new destinations and increasing frequencies on three existing routes.  The new destinations from Wrocław will be the cities of Reykjavik, Dortmund, and Varna. BERLIN — Germany’s parliament has given the green light for a set of defense procurements collectively worth more than €7 billion ($8.14 billion), with new combat jets topping the list of new equipment.The purchase of additional tranche-five Eurofighters makes up more than half of the funding allocated today by the parliamentary Budget Committee, at around €3.75 billion ($4.36 billion). Riyadh Air, the Saudi start-up airline announced two years ago, will launch its first route from Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport to London Heathrow later this month. Flights will start on October 26 using a Boeing 787-9 that the airline is currently leasing for crew training, certification, and regulatory approvals.
