Germany has signed a contract with Airbus for 20 additional Eurofighter Typhoon aircraft as part of its effort to reinforce national and NATO air defense capabilities.  The new aircraft will be assembled at Airbus’s facility in Manching, near Munich, with deliveries scheduled between 2031 and 2034. They will be built to the forthcoming Tranche 5 standard and equipped with the latest E-Scan AESA radar and Arexis electronic warfare suite, developed by Saab. According to Emirates’ latest schedule filing to Cirium Diio, next summer’s London Gatwick plan has changed. While Gatwick was to have one Emirates A380 service a day, it will now have two. That’s still down from the three flights that primarily operated in 2025, but it is still a meaningful increase on what was scheduled. It comes amid bigger changes. When all aircraft are considered, the Gulf carrier will increase Gatwick flights to four daily in early February 2026. Spanish flag carrier and International Airlines Group (IAG) member Iberia is strengthening its footprint in Latin America with the launch of a new nonstop route between Madrid-Barajas (MAD) and Monterrey, Mexico (MTY).  The new thrice-weekly service will debut on June 2, 2025, departing Madrid at 12.55 on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, with the return leg on the same day at 18.50, all times local.
