Contracting document language is raising questions about possible other new features that might be included as the U.S. Army launches a five-site “campus-style” dining facility pilot program for possible expansion to installations across the service. Officials, including Sergeant Major of the Army Michael Weimer, addressed questions about the pilot program, announced at the end of September, at the Association of the United States Army’s annual meeting Monday. They didn’t rule out possible alcohol sales at some locations and would not address whether soldiers could be asked to add a tip to a government-provided meal. With my mom having recently passed, I now have a bit more time for travel, and also feel like I need to get out and just enjoy the outdoors and clear my head. So along those lines, I’ve just booked a quick adventure for Ford and me to go to Iceland at the end of the month, and would like to share what I’ve booked, and also get some feedback. Why we’re traveling to Iceland (sort of) off-season Back in 2014, I visited Iceland for a few nights, traveling alone in the peak of summer. I absolutely loved it, and…

Tanker aircraft extend the range of fighters, bombers, and transports, allowing nations to project force far beyond their borders. Without them, even the most advanced combat jets would be tethered to their home bases. In this guide, we’ll explore the world’s largest air forces ranked by the number of aerial refueling tankers they operate, and why this capability matters so much. Let’s explore which countries operate the largest tanker fleets, how new designs like the KC-390 Millennium and A330 MRTT are redefining the role, and…
