Venezuela has revoked the operating rights of six international airlines after a political and security dispute escalated this week between Caracas and Washington. The move cuts off access to Venezuelan airspace for Iberia, TAP Air Portugal, GOL, LATAM, Avianca, and Turkish Airlines.  The action follows several days of rising tension after the US Federal Aviation Administration issued a notice warning of a “potentially hazardous situation” in the region. As the unstoppable tide of time washes the world ever closer to the 2026 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games, Air Canada is gearing up for the sporting spectacle. In late 2024, we saw Cathay Pacific launch its new Aria Suite business class. I’ve had the chance to fly it, and it’s a phenomenal product. Cathay Pacific is a world class airline, and this really elevates the carrier’s business class to being among the best in the world. As is the case with any new product, the challenge is the lengthy rollout, as actually retrofitting aircraft with a new product can take years. With that in mind, we’re continuing to see this product introduced on more planes. The plane has now been scheduled to operate to the United States…

Premium economy has slowly become what most industry observers would argue is the most confusing cabin in the sky. At times, the seats are essentially identical to those in economy, but with a bit more legroom. In other circumstances, it is a genuine business-lite premium experience that is accordingly priced not all that far beneath what you would expect to pay for a business-class ticket. Against this noisy backdrop, there are a few carriers that consistently aim to offer as much value for money as possible, selling real premium seating for relatively modest upcharges. We analyze five of the cheapest…
